Crean Contract Flooring is aware of the absolute importance of health and safety, not only to our clients and our employees, but to each and every aspect of our business. That’s why we seek ongoing improvements to our safety performance and the latest safety systems.

Accreditation

We have been awarded ISO accreditation under the following standards:

· ISO 9001 - Quality
· ISO 14001 -Environmental
· ISO 45001 - Health & Safety

At Crean we will take all reasonable steps to secure and maintain the health, safety and welfare of all employees, contractors, clients, visitors and members of the public who may be affected by our activities. As a management team our objective is to maximise the wellbeing of each employee and their potential to contribute to achieving the core organisational values. It is our policy and overall aim to educate each employee in safe working practices and to to comply with health and safety legislation to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the safety, health and welfare of all employees while at work, and to provide such information, training, and supervision, as is needed for this purpose.

This legislation includes the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and all other statutory regulations including:

  • The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction Regulations) 2013 and 2020
  • The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Reporting of Accidents and Dangerous Occurrences) Regulations 2016
  • The Chemicals Act 2008 and 2010
  • The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 to 2016
  • The Fire Services Act 1981 & 2003

Safety is a core value within Crean and safe working is an integral part of how we plan, organise and undertake our organisational activities and operations. To do this Crean Contract Flooring is committed to:

  • Complying with the requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005
  • Providing a safe place of work, including safe access and egress
  • Providing safe plant and equipment, articles and substances
  • Providing safe systems of work
  • Providing suitable office welfare facilities, rest areas, water, etc.
  • Providing appropriate information, instruction, training and supervision
  • Determining and implementing appropriate preventative and protective measures
  • Following the general principles of prevention
  • Providing and practising plans for foreseeable emergencies
  • Complying with the requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 to 2016
  • Keeping abreast of compliant with current legislation and applicable electrical standards
  • Obtaining, when necessary, the advice of a competent person on health and safety matters
  • Reporting prescribed accidents and dangerous occurrences to the Health and Safety Authority

Staff training is to the standard of CSCS or equivalent, Safe pass, C-19 Induction and includes Manual Handling and Abrasive Wheel Training to comply with relevant health and safety legislation.

It is company policy that all Crean Contract Flooring employees and sub-contractors have completed this training.
