Accessibility

At Crean we care about accessibility in all our work. We are also committed to making the information on our websites accessible to all.

In constructing and maintaining this website, Crean have endeavoured to make it as accessible as possible.

To this end, we have followed the accessibility guidelines of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). The W3C’s WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative) produces accessibility guidelines that are an internationally recognised benchmark of accessibility, and we aim to meet the AA level of conformance with the WAI’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG 2.0).

The benefits of this include:

  • Pages that are fast to download, regardless of whether you are using broadband or a modem
  • Relative text sizes, allowing users to change font size easily using their browser
  • Content of each page still readable even if your browser or browsing device does not support Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
  • Descriptive ALT (i.e. alternative text) attributes on all images. Certain decorative graphics include null ALT attributes
  • All pages able to function without JavaScript. Please note, though, that certain features such as error checking on forms may only be available when JavaScript is enabled
